| What the Heck is a
Travel Sheet? |

That's a
good question! We didn't know either until we
stayed at a 4 star hotel and discovered that our
bed sheets were, well let's just say it was
more than obvious that they had not been changed
prior to us checking in... disgusting!
This got us to thinking... "Was this a
one-time mistake or does it happen often?"
After doing a little research we found that it
happens more often than one might think and it's
not limited to low-cost and low-rated
motels/hotels. It is just as common in the
more expensive high-rated hotels.

| In addition to the unclean
hotel sheets issue, our research also revealed other
problems with hotel bedding, such as guests being bitten
by
bed bugs
and
having allergic reactions to
dust mites, and harsh
detergents (when the sheets are actually
washed). |

| Okay, if you watched the
Inside Edition video,
you are probably as disgusted as we were when we
discovered this issue. So, what if anything can
you do to avoid the possibility of sleeping on unclean
sheets or otherwise questionable bedding when traveling?
Well, this brings us back to the "What the Heck is a
Travel Sheet" question... |

| Simply put, a Travel Sheet is a
clean, protective barrier, similar in design to a
sleeping bag, that you bring with you when you travel
and place on top of the questionable bedding. You
sleep inside the Travel Sheet and thus avoid any direct
skin contact with the hotel sheets. A good Travel
Sheet will also include a pillow pocket designed to
avoid direct skin contact with the hotel pillow. |

| There are a number of different
Travel Sheets on the market; however, not all Travel
Sheets are created equal. Some offer very little
protection due to design flaws that allow direct skin
contact with the questionable bedding. This kind
of defeats the whole purpose of a Travel Sheet, don't
you think? |

| Comfort and convenience is also
an issue with a lot of Travel Sheets. Some are
made with cheap uncomfortable fabrics (even some of the
more expensive silk fabrics are uncomfortable because
they are so slippery and flimsy that they ball up and/or
slide off the bed); small sizes that restrict movement
and feel confining; prickly Velcro straps that irritate
the skin when touched while sleeping; restricted access
making it difficult to enter and exit from either side
of the bed or get up at night to go to the bathroom;
etc. |

| In addition to the protection
from direct skin contact with questionable bedding, a
good Travel Sheet should also be conducive to a good
nights sleep. Comfort, convenience, and a good
nights sleep should not have to be sacrificed to get the
protection you need while sleeping when away from home. |

| After our own experience with
unclean sheets at a major hotel, and our subsequent
discovery that our experience was not uncommon, we went
looking for a solution. Travel for us (and many
others) is a necessity, not a luxury that we can give
up, so we had to find a way to address this issue and
provide us with some degree of safety and peace of mind when sleeping away
from home. |

| We began by searching online
for products designed to address this issue.
That's when we found the Travel Sheet products. It
seemed like the perfect solution that we were looking
for, so we ordered one of the best selling brands.
Upon receiving our first Travel Sheet, we tested it at
home and found it lacking in most of the design features
that we thought it needed to serve the purpose of it's
intended use. |

hoping to find one that actually provided an acceptable
level of protection and comfort. Unfortunately,
none of them made the grade. That was
disappointing, but it also presented us with an
opportunity to do that thing we do... take a
flawed product and make design improvements to make it
the best on the market. |
